Variety: Britanya Marrón
Species: Capsicum pubescens.
Origin: UK
Picante Class: Epic
Category: Semi-Stable Hybrid
Hybridizer: John Merchant
Description: The Britanya Marrón is a natural variation that we discovered of the Britanya Rojo created by John Merchant and the peppers are probably the juiciest we’ve ever encountered. Their meatiness rivals that of tomatoes, making them ideal for sauces and preserves. These huge pods start dark green and slowly mature to a Deep chocolate. Their vibrant hue adds visual appeal to any dish. Expect a delightful balance of sweetness and heat. Not too fiery, but enough to keep things interesting.Thick-walled and succulent – perfect for stuffing or slicing. We have grown this sub cultivar for 3 seasons now and the pods have always been chocolate so you can consider the variety semi-stable.
